Question 1

What does "managed" actually mean?

Accepted Answer

It means we handle everything — plugin and theme updates with backups and health checks, WordPress core upgrades, speed optimization, daily backups, monitoring, and TopSyde Sentinel, our AI security engine that scans every site daily and removes malware for you. You focus on your business; we keep the site healthy. There's nothing you need to do except use it.

Question 2

Can I try TopSyde before I migrate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Run a free AI website audit at /audit — no login, no credit card. In about a minute it scores your site across performance, SEO, AEO/GEO, structure, UX, and security, and returns prioritized, impact-ranked fixes you can act on whether or not you host with us. When you're ready, every plan is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Question 3

What happens during onboarding?

Accepted Answer

We handle your entire migration — files, database, DNS, SSL — typically in under 2 hours with zero downtime. Once live, we run a full speed optimization pass, configure monitoring, set up backups, connect Sentinel for daily security scans, and walk you through the portal. You're fully operational from day one.

Question 4

Can I keep my current domain registrar?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We never touch your domain registrar. You keep full ownership and control of your domain. We simply point your DNS to our servers — takes minutes, not hours.

Question 5

How does the 30-day money-back guarantee work?

Accepted Answer

Simply. You get the complete service from day one — full migration, speed optimization, security hardening, Sentinel malware scanning, monitoring, daily backups, and developer support. If you're not thrilled in your first 30 days, tell us and we refund every penny. You leave with your site and your data.

Question 6

What do I get access to?

Accepted Answer

Full WordPress admin on every site, plus the TopSyde portal: a fleet view across all your sites, health scores and prioritized recommendations, plugin/theme/domain status, backups with one-click restore, Sentinel security scans and findings, an activity log of every change, an AI assistant for site-specific questions, and a direct line to your senior developer. Managed agency accounts also get multi-org management, role-based sub-users, and a white-label portal. Team seats and account branding are included with self-service. Multi-org management and white-label client portals are available through managed agency setup.

Question 7

How fast is your hosting?

Accepted Answer

Blazing. Google C3D machines, 12 CPUs, 8 GB RAM, NGINX caching, HTTP/3, and Cloudflare CDN across 37+ global data centers. Our clients consistently hit 90+ PageSpeed scores. Average TTFB under 200ms.

Question 8

Do you handle SEO and speed tuning automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every site gets Auto SEO and Auto Speed, included free. Once a week, an AI pass reviews the site's own evidence — its pages, its Lighthouse report — and applies the safe wins: missing meta descriptions, missing image alt text, oversized images, the load priority of the largest image. Every change is one-click reversible, your authored content is never rewritten, and robots, canonicals and redirects are never touched. We haven't seen another host do this. Full SEO campaigns and content strategy remain separate, human work.

Question 9

What are your server specs?

Accepted Answer

Google C3D machines with 12 CPUs, 8 GB RAM, 24+ PHP workers, 512 MB PHP memory, PHP 8.5, MariaDB 10.11+, NGINX, HTTP/3, Redis support, reverse proxy support, TLS 1.3, full multisite, and 37+ global data center locations — all on SOC 2-certified infrastructure (Kinsta on Google Cloud, plus Cloudflare). TopSyde itself is not SOC 2 certified; if your procurement requires it, we'll tell you up front.

Question 10

Do you support WooCommerce?

Accepted Answer

Yes — WooCommerce is one of our specialties. We optimize for e-commerce performance out of the box: server-level caching tuned for dynamic cart pages, Redis object caching, and CDN configuration that respects WooCommerce sessions. Multiple clients run high-traffic stores on our platform.

Question 11

Do you support WordPress Multisite?

Accepted Answer

Full multisite support is included. We handle subdomain and subdirectory configurations, network-level plugin management, and per-site performance optimization. No extra charge.

Question 12

How does monitoring and the health score work?

Accepted Answer

The portal continuously scores each site from 0–100 across four areas — plugin hygiene, performance, security, and SEO/GEO — and surfaces prioritized, actionable recommendations like stale plugins, missing caching, outdated PHP, or SSL issues. An AI assistant in the portal can answer questions about any specific site, and Sentinel applies AI judgment to security findings. We watch the trend so issues get fixed before they reach your visitors.

Question 13

What is TopSyde Sentinel?

Accepted Answer

Sentinel is the AI-powered security layer built into every plan — free, never an add-on. Rather than run a plugin inside your site (which an attacker can disable once they're in), Sentinel scans each site daily from the outside over an isolated SSH key. It verifies WordPress core against official wordpress.org checksums, diffs your plugins against their official packages, and sweeps the filesystem and database for backdoors, webshells, hidden admin accounts, application-password backdoors, timestomped files, and injected casino/pharma SEO spam. Anything ambiguous is judged by AI, so it catches novel, AI-generated threats a signature list would miss — then removes them for you, reversibly.

Question 14

How is Sentinel different from Wordfence or a security plugin?

Accepted Answer

A security plugin runs inside the very site it's protecting, relies on its own signature list, and usually just alerts you. Sentinel works from outside the site, anchors on official WordPress checksums plus AI judgment, hunts the persistence vectors most plugins are blind to (hidden admins, application-password REST keys, timestomped backdoors), and actually removes what it finds — across your whole fleet from one dashboard. It runs alongside your firewall, CDN, and Wordfence, not instead of them.

Question 15

My site keeps getting re-infected. Can you help?

Accepted Answer

That's Sentinel's specialty. Re-infection almost always means a persistence vector survived the last cleanup — a hidden admin, a timestomped backdoor, dropped PHP, or an application-password REST key that survives password resets. Sentinel revokes application passwords on every scan and hunts each of these specifically, so the threat doesn't quietly let the attacker back in.

Question 16

Will automatic malware removal break my site?

Accepted Answer

No — remediation is reversible by design. Malware is quarantined (moved to a holding area, not deleted) and can be restored in one click; tampered core and plugin files are reinstalled from official sources; content edits create WordPress revisions. Only high-confidence, unambiguous threats are ever cleaned automatically — everything else waits for your one-click approval.

Question 17

What if my site gets hacked?

Accepted Answer

We handle it end-to-end as part of your plan — no surprise charges, no third-party handoff. Sentinel detects the compromise (often before you'd notice), quarantines the malware, restores tampered core and plugin files from official sources, removes injected spam, and revokes backdoor access. Then it keeps scanning daily to make sure it stays gone.

Question 18

How do backups and restores work?

Accepted Answer

Daily automated backups with 30-day retention and one-click restore from the portal anytime you need it. Updates are backed up and health-checked, with rollback or developer recovery if a conflict occurs.

Question 19

What other security measures are in place?

Accepted Answer

Defense in depth: Cloudflare's WAF and DDoS mitigation at the edge, hardened WordPress configuration (file-permission hardening, login rate-limiting, disabled XML-RPC), free SSL with TLS 1.3, and Sentinel running daily AI malware scans with automatic, reversible removal on top. Emergency security patches are deployed quickly when a vulnerability is disclosed.

Question 20

Do you lock me into a contract?

Accepted Answer

No. Month-to-month billing. Stay because you love the service, not because you're trapped in paperwork. Cancel anytime with no penalties or hidden fees.

Question 21

Is Sentinel or security an extra cost?

Accepted Answer

No. TopSyde Sentinel and every security feature — daily AI malware scanning, automatic reversible removal, Cloudflare WAF, SSL, and hardening — are included free on every plan. It's not a premium tier, a metered add-on, or a separate invoice.

Question 22

Are there any hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

None. Your monthly rate covers everything — hosting, maintenance, updates, security and Sentinel, backups, monitoring, support, premium plugin licenses, SSL, CDN, and migration. The price you see is the price you pay.

Question 23

Do you offer volume discounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pricing is $89/site/month, and per-site pricing drops as you add sites — as low as $67/site/month at volume. Agencies managing 10+ sites see significant savings. See the agency pricing page or contact us for a custom quote.

Question 24

Who will I be talking to?

Accepted Answer

A senior WordPress developer with 10+ years of experience. Not a tier-1 rep. Not a chatbot. A real human who knows your site inside and out. Call, text, email, or chat. On Enterprise plans you get a named senior developer with a documented escalation path.

Question 25

Can you migrate my existing site?

Accepted Answer

Yes — free of charge. We handle the full migration (files, database, DNS, SSL) typically in under 2 hours with zero downtime. We've migrated hundreds of sites without a single incident.

Question 26

What if I need custom development?

Accepted Answer

We offer full-stack custom development with U.S.-based senior developers (10+ years) — no outsourcing. We build custom WordPress themes and plugins, full-stack apps, integrations and APIs, and handle design, speed optimization, migrations, and security work across WordPress, Shopify, React, Next.js, Vue, Laravel, and Node. Development is billed at $150/hour with block pricing available; contact us to scope a project.

Question 27

What premium plugins are included?

Accepted Answer

We provide licensed copies of premium plugins at no extra cost — over $1,000 a year in retail licenses if you bought them yourself — including Optimole, Perfmatters, Gravity Forms, WPForms, ACF Pro, JetEngine, JetSmartFilters, JetFormBuilder Pro Addons, JetThemeCore, JetElements, JetBlocks, JetMenu, JetTabs, JetTricks, JetPopup, JetSearch, JetBlog, JetReviews, JetWooBuilder, JetProductGallery, JetProductTables, JetCompare&Wishlist, JetBooking, JetAppointment, JetMessenger, JetElements Dynamic Data, Divi Integration Addon, Imagify, Elementor Pro, PowerPack Elementor, Ultimate Addons for Elementor, Ultimate Addons for Beaver Builder, WP All Import/Export Suite, Astra Pro, Spectra Pro, and Premium Starter Templates.
