WordPress Care Plan Pricing
What a WordPress care plan actually costs
Most plans run $50 to $500 a month — and almost all of them bill hosting separately, so the number on the page is never the number on your card.
TopSyde
$89 /month per site
Hosting included. Updates, security, backups, speed work, premium plugin licenses, and a senior developer included. No setup fee, no contract, free migration.
$71/site at 11+ sites · $67/site at 100+
What the market charges
Care plans are usually sold in three tiers. These are typical published ranges across agencies and maintenance services — every provider prices differently, so treat them as the shape of the market rather than a quote.
| Tier | Typical price / mo | What it covers | Hosting included? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic / “essentials” | $50 – $100 | Plugin updates, a weekly backup, an uptime ping. Usually automated, rarely checked by a person. | Billed separately |
| Standard | $100 – $250 | Updates plus security scanning, monthly reporting, and a small allowance of support time. | Billed separately |
| Premium / agency retainer | $250 – $500+ | Everything above plus content edits, speed work, and priority support hours. | Billed separately |
| TopSyde | $89 flat | Everything in the premium column, plus hosting, plugin licenses, and a senior developer who answers you directly. | Included |
The part that surprises people
A care plan and hosting are two different products, and most businesses are quietly paying for both. Then premium plugin licenses on a third bill. Then a freelancer, by the hour, whenever something actually breaks.
Nobody sits down and decides to spend that way. It accumulates. One of our clients, a small law firm, added it up and found they were at about $310 a month across four line items — cheap hosting, $470 a year in plugin licenses, and a freelancer who took two to four days to reply.
They now pay $89. Same site, one bill, and a developer who answers in under two hours.

What you get for $89 a month
Updates that get tested first
WordPress core, plugins, and themes — conflict-tested on a staging copy before anything touches your live site. If an update breaks something, we catch it, not your customers.
Security and malware scanning
TopSyde Sentinel scans every site daily over SSH, verifies WordPress core against official checksums, and hunts backdoors, hidden admin users, and SEO spam. Included on every plan — never a paid tier.
Daily backups you can actually restore
Daily incremental backups with 30-day retention, plus a restore that we run for you. Backups nobody has ever tested are not backups.
Speed work, hand-tuned
Caching, image delivery, database cleanup, and plugin-bloat reduction done by a developer. Our case studies land in the 90s on PageSpeed and stay there.
A senior developer, not a ticket queue
You email a person who knows your site. Under two hours to first response during business hours, Monday–Friday. Automated monitoring and recovery run around the clock.
Premium plugin licenses
Covered by our license pool instead of your credit card. For most sites that alone is $200–$500 a year that stops being your problem.
