Turn it on from the site's Dashboard tab. Submissions to your forms and comments are checked on the site, blocked ones wait 30 days for your review, and we are alerted when a form stops delivering.

A hidden field, a browser check that survives page caching, and content rules (links, wording, throwaway email domains, repeats) decide most submissions. Only the unclear ones go to an AI check, with email addresses and phone numbers masked and no IP address. If that check fails or is slow, the message goes through.

Blocked submissions are held in your site's own database for 30 days. The card lists them with the reason, and one click on “Not spam, deliver it” sends a real one on its way and allowlists the sender.

We watch daily submission counts per form, email errors on the site, and whether the pages with forms still show them. A form that goes quiet, or a mailer that fails, shows on the card and alerts our team. Send yourself a labelled test email through the site's own mailer any time.

Akismet's commercial plan lists at $9.95 a month per site. CAPTCHAs push the work onto visitors and still miss spam typed by a person. Ours is included, asks nothing of visitors, and keeps what it blocks so nothing is lost. Other spam tools on the site are left running; this adds a layer.

List prices checked October 2026: Yoast SEO Premium $118.80/yr, WP Rocket $59.95/yr ($299.95 for up to 50 sites), CookieYes Pro $250/yr per domain (the plan with region targeting, like ours). Two-factor plugins have free tiers, so we count none. Form protection, broken-link fixes, database cleanup and AI edits are not counted either: Akismet's commercial plan lists at $9.95/month per site (checked 14 October 2026), while Redirection, Broken Link Checker and WP-Optimize's cleanup are free, and AI edits replaces developer time, not a plugin.

No filter does. Some spam will get through and, now and then, a real message is held. That is why blocked submissions are never deleted: they wait 30 days on your site, and delivering one takes one click and allowlists the sender. Check the held list when a message you expected didn't arrive.
Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Elementor Pro forms, WPForms, Fluent Forms, Ninja Forms and Formidable, plus WordPress comments. Each is hooked at its own spam or validation step, so a held entry stays in Gravity Forms' spam folder and a held comment moves to moderation when you release it. Logged-in editors are never checked.
Only the unclear ones, and only the text of the fields, with email addresses and phone numbers masked and no IP address. We keep the verdict, not the content. Most submissions are decided on the site by the hidden field, the browser check and the content rules, and never leave it.
No. A new alert goes to our team and shows on the site's card; your client hears from you, or from the monthly report. We never submit test entries into your forms either. “Send test” sends one clearly labelled email through the site's own mailer to the address you choose.
No. It filters spam and helps catch broken forms sooner. Delivery still depends on the site's mailer, which is why the card warns when a site has neither TopSyde Mail nor an SMTP plugin, and why mail failures are counted. Not available for multisite installs yet.
