The work, taken care of
Turn it on from the site's Dashboard tab. The database is measured, the first cleanup runs overnight within a day, and every run reports what it removed, how big the database is, and what is waiting.

Expired transients. Revisions beyond the newest 10 per post, and only those older than 30 days. Auto-drafts older than 7 days. Posts, pages and comments in the trash for more than 30 days. Spam older than 30 days. Data rows whose post, comment or category no longer exists.

Autoloaded options are measured and reported, never changed. Users, WooCommerce orders, form entries, logs, media and every plugin's own tables are left alone, and no table is ever optimized or altered. Rows go in small batches, so the site stays responsive.

A compressed export of the affected tables is written to a private folder outside the public site and verified before a single row goes. It is kept 7 days, and within that window we can restore specific items on request. Low disk space or a failed export means nothing is removed that time.
Built around your next decision
A busy site collects thousands of post revisions and expired cache entries that nobody looks at again. The card shows what is waiting, cleans it weekly after a backup, and tells you if the autoloaded options are heavy enough to look into.
Those plugins work, and ours leaves them in place if you keep them. The difference is who carries the risk: ours removes only what WordPress's own rules would, takes a verified copy first, and reports every run in your portal. No “optimize tables” button that locks a live site.
One switch per site, a weekly schedule overnight, and a history on each card. A client asks what happened to a draft? The run says what was removed, and the copy from the last 7 days is there to restore it from.

One managed plan

Two-factor plugins have free tiers, so we count none. Form protection, broken-link fixes, database cleanup and AI edits are not counted either: Akismet's commercial plan lists at $9.95/month per site (checked 14 October 2026), while Redirection, Broken Link Checker and WP-Optimize's cleanup are free, and AI edits replaces developer time, not a plugin.
Optional per site, off by default. Turning it off stops the weekly cleanup; copies already taken are still deleted after their 7 days. Not available for multisite installs.

Sometimes, and not by itself. Removing tens of thousands of expired transients and revisions makes admin queries lighter, but the cleanup tidies the database; it does not guarantee a faster site, and the database's reported size may not shrink right away. Speed work lives in Auto Speed.
It removes only the categories above, by WordPress's own rules: a revision only when a post has more than 10 and it is older than 30 days, trash only past 30 days (or longer if the site keeps its trash longer). Never attachments, products, orders or plugin post types. If something was removed that you want back, ask within 7 days and we restore it from the copy.
On the site's own server, in a private folder outside the public website, compressed and verified. It is deleted after 7 days, and when the site leaves TopSyde.
Reported only. Autoloaded options are the data WordPress reads on every page load, so the card flags them over 1 MB and we look at the cause with you. Plugin tables, such as Action Scheduler or form entries, are never touched.
Yes. “Clean now” on the card runs a cleanup on demand, up to three a day per site, with the same backup first.
