What we need from you
Three things, and you may already have them.
- A login to your current host, or the name of whoever has one. A developer or agency who looks after the site today is fine.
- Access to where your domain is managed, like GoDaddy, Namecheap or Cloudflare. If you would rather not share it, we send you the one record to change.
- A WordPress admin login, if the hosting login does not already give us one.

Before you move
The questions people ask first.
How long does it take?
The hands-on part is typically under two hours, with no downtime. The time in between is yours. You look at the copy when it suits you, and nothing goes live until you say it looks right.
What happens to my email?
Nothing. We move the website only. Your mailbox stays with whoever runs it today, whether that is Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or your registrar, and the records that route your email are left exactly as they are. The one case to plan for is email that comes bundled with the host you are leaving. We check for that before anything moves, and if it applies we help you set up a standalone mailbox before the old host is cancelled, so there is never a gap.
What about the email my site sends?
Contact form notifications, order receipts and password resets are routed through our delivery service and tested after the move.
What if something goes wrong?
Your live site keeps serving visitors until the copy is checked, and the old host keeps its copy until you cancel it. Going back is one DNS change, and we would make it for you.
I am moving several client sites. How does that work?
Each site gets its own copy, its own check and its own cut-over, so one client never waits on another. Send us the list and we plan the order with you. You stay the contact for your clients the whole way through, and we never write to them.
